Electrical Engineer

Job Summary –

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitate information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Technical Skills:

• Using electrical design tools and software packages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Using empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
• Possess expert-level knowledge of multi-layer PCB design and manufacturing processes, including the ability to analyze complex stack-ups. Skilled at evaluating how stack-up complexity impacts fabrication yield and board cost.
• Deep understanding of PC system architectures and can synthesize comprehensive block diagrams from physical hardware to evaluate data flow and component integration
• Skilled in identifying core semiconductors and unmarked integrated circuits through pinout mapping, package analysis, and industry-wide component cross-referencing
• Understanding of multi-phase Voltage Regulator (VR) blocks and can identify different level power rails to map out complex system power sequences
• Understanding of EMI and ESD mitigation strategies, with the ability to distinguish between "minimum-compliance" and "premium-tier" protection implementations
• Highly knowledgeable in the selection and implementation of Power Delivery components, including the evaluation of efficiency curves and protocol controller logic
• Capable of performing deep-dive battery analysis, including evaluating energy density, cell structure, and extracting Smart Battery System (SBS) data for reliability and longevity profiling,
• Deep understanding of the market variables that influence the cost of semiconductors, multilayer PCBs, and high-energy-density battery cells
• Ability to correlate technical performance data (such as thermal efficiency or signal integrity) with the actual manufacturing cost to determine the "value-per-dollar" of specific hardware architectures
• Deep knowledge of the global vendor landscape, enabling the estimation of performance-to-cost trade-offs

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Designs engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
• Develops and implements parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power measurements.
• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Determine entire electrical BOM assembly list of a PC. This includes, but is not limited to laptops, desktops and docks.
