Kimco Staffing is hiring an experienced 2nd Shift Centerless Grinder for a leading aerospace bearing manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled grinder with experience producing precision components in a fast paced manufacturing environment

Second Shift 1:30PM-12AM

Monday through Saturday with overtime as needed.

$22.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Summary

The Centerless Grinder is responsible for setting up and operating centerless and cylindrical grinding machines to manufacture precision aerospace components. This position requires a strong understanding of grinding processes, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.
Responsibilities

Set up and operate centerless and cylindrical grinding machines.
Grind precision aerospace components to blueprint specifications.
Select, install, and dress grinding wheels.
Perform machine offsets and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
Maintain tolerances to .0001 inch.
Monitor part quality throughout production.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized.
Follow all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
Support overtime and production demands as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of centerless grinding experience.
Experience with cylindrical grinding.
Ability to perform complete machine setups.
Knowledge of grinding wheel selection and wheel dressing.
Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Good shop math skills including decimals and tight tolerances.
Experience working with metals in a manufacturing environment.
Dependable with a strong attention to detail and quality.

Physical Requirements

Stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift up to 50 pounds.
Work safely around manufacturing equipment
