Data Architect

SNI Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Data Architect to serve as the primary technical owner for our client's custom data and application initiatives. In this role, you will take full "front-to-back" ownership of our data model, designing and implementing scalable, secure solutions on the Microsoft platform. We are looking for a hands-on technology leader who can bridge the gap between complex business requirements and high-performance technical execution within a modern Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Model Ownership: Act as the end-to-end owner of the enterprise data model, from ingestion to reporting, ensuring structural integrity and scalability.
• Architectural Strategy: Lead the transition and implementation of modern data architectures using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.
• Methodology Leadership: Design and maintain data warehouses using Data Vault, Inmon / Kimball, or Star Schema (Dimensions/Facts) to satisfy complex reporting needs.
• Technical Management: Serve as a technology manager for a team of 7-8 engineers (within a larger department of 16), providing high-level technical direction and quality oversight.
• Collaborative Design: Partner with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical specifications, utilizing automated Azure DevOps pipelines for deployment.
• Security & Governance: Ensure all data architecture aligns with regulatory requirements (PII, GDPR, HIPAA) through robust privacy measures and access controls.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Microsoft Certified (Azure Data Engineer or Solutions Architect) is highly preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in custom application development and data management, with a proven track record of "owning" complex data environments.
• Data Modeling Expertise: Deep proficiency in Data Modeling methodologies; experience with Data Vault is a significant advantage.
• Technical Stack: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Pipeline Automation: Demonstrated experience deploying enterprise solutions via Azure DevOps and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Leadership Style: Strong "Technology Manager" capabilities-able to lead technical strategy and mentor a team of 7-8 without immediate direct-report responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits:
