Senior Infrastructure Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Pittsburg, PA that is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys building, improving, and owning core systems that businesses rely on every day.

Summary:
This role is for someone who is comfortable working across infrastructure domains, can take an idea from concept to execution, and values stability, clarity, and thoughtful design. You will work alongside other experienced engineers, contribute to long-term direction, and stay close enough to the work to make a real impact. This role is best suited for someone who wants to stay hands on, influence direction, and be trusted with meaningful infrastructure responsibility without being boxed into a narrow specialty.

Duties:
* Owning and evolving core infrastructure services in a distributed environment
* Designing and delivering improvements that increase reliability and scalability
* Solving complex problems that span multiple systems and teams
* Bringing structure through standards, documentation, and good technical judgment
* Mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative engineering culture

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
* Proven senior level experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
* Ability to design, deliver, and support reliable systems in a distributed setting
* Strong troubleshooting skills across interconnected platforms and services
* Experience balancing hands on engineering with project delivery and operational support
* Strong experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
* Comfort working across both project delivery and operational support
* A practical mindset focused on reliability and long-term sustainability
* Ability to troubleshoot issues that do not have obvious answers
* Clear communication with both technical and non-technical partners

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
