Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead responsible for driving architecture, delivery, integration, and operational excellence across enterprise infrastructure platforms including Microsoft 365, VMware, Citrix, End User Computing (EUC), Windows Server, Monitoring platforms, and NOC operations.

This role requires strong hands-on engineering expertise, deep troubleshooting across infrastructure and application layers, and the ability to manage enterprise-level application integrations from application layer down to infrastructure.

The ideal candidate blends technical leadership, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, automation expertise, enterprise integration knowledge, and end-to-end ownership of complex enterprise ecosystems.

 

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Infrastructure (AD, MECM, Intune, M365)

  • Manage Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022) environments including patching, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and domain security hardening.
  • Automate server operations using PowerShell and configuration management tools.
  • Architect and optimize Windows 10 / Windows 11 endpoint environments, endpoint security, and device lifecycle management.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 workloads including:
    • Exchange Online
    • Teams
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive
    • Intune
    • Azure AD
  • Implement identity protection, conditional access, compliance policies, and cloud security posture improvements.
  • Manage OS Deployment (OSD), application packaging, patch compliance, baselines, and endpoint reporting.
  • Automate packaging workflows and enhance compliance scoring/reporting.

 

Citrix Administration

  • Administer Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD) including provisioning, image management, policies, profiles, and StoreFront.
  • Manage Citrix ADC (NetScaler) for load balancing, gateway access, and authentication integrations.
  • Perform performance troubleshooting across application layers, hypervisors, and network infrastructure.
  • Support application publishing, profile tuning (FSLogix / UPM) and Citrix infrastructure upgrades.
  • Ensure high availability, DR readiness, and secure remote access environments.

 

VMware Administration

  • Manage VMware vSphere / ESXi environments, including:
    • Cluster operations
    • Provisioning
    • Patching
    • Performance tuning
    • HA / DRS
    • Snapshots and automation
  • Support virtualization capacity planning, disaster recovery strategies, and infrastructure security improvements.

 

Monitoring & Observability

  • Administer enterprise monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, SCOM, Datadog, or similar tools.
  • Develop custom dashboards, alerts, SLIs, and synthetic monitoring tests.
  • Build telemetry pipelines for observability.
  • Integrate monitoring platforms with NOC operations and SRE workflows.
  • Expand monitoring coverage to reduce operational blind spots and improve operational intelligence.

 

Identity Lifecycle Management

  • Manage Active Roles Server (ARS) – One Identity identity lifecycle workflows.
  • Support Workday to AD/M365 provisioning, job changes, and deprovisioning automation.
  • Maintain RBAC standards and secure access workflows.
  • Implement SSO integrations using Azure AD.

 

Enterprise Application Integration

Lead integrations between applications and infrastructure layers including:

  • OS, middleware, networking, identity, virtualization, and database layers.
  • API integrations and authentication mechanisms including:
    • SAML
    • OAuth
    • SCIM
    • Certificates
    • Load balancers
  • Validate infrastructure requirements including:
    • OS compatibility
    • CPU / memory requirements
    • Firewall rules / ports
    • Load balancing
    • SSL certificates
    • Disaster recovery readiness
  • Own the technical integration lifecycle during onboarding, migrations, and modernization projects.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external vendors.

 

NOC Operations

  • Lead 24×7 NOC operations including monitoring, incident triage, escalation, and availability management.
  • Create runbooks, escalation matrices, SOPs, and service health reports.
  • Improve incident response frameworks, alerting strategies, and SLA performance.

 

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

  • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets across enterprise services.
  • Reduce operational toil through automation and self-service tooling.
  • Implement observability frameworks (logs, metrics, traces, events).
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and resilience engineering initiatives.
  • Integrate SRE practices across EUC, Citrix, VMware, M365, and enterprise applications.

 

Technical Leadership

  • Mentor engineering teams across EUC, Cloud, Citrix, Server, Monitoring, and Virtualization platforms.
  • Lead platform transformation, infrastructure modernization, and automation initiatives.
  • Develop architecture documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and standards.
  • Act as a technical advisor to leadership and cross-functional teams.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop process flows and technical documentation.
  • Mentor client project team members and perform knowledge transfer.
  • Contribute as primary or supporting author on project deliverables.
  • Participate in data conversion and data maintenance activities.
  • Provide industry best practices and alternative solutions.
  • Deliver thought leadership combined with hands-on technical implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution.
