Senior AWS Full Stack Developer

The Treasury and Financial System Applications section at CPA is looking for a highly motivated AWS Developer to join our IT team to design, develop, and maintain applications. The Candidate will perform highly advanced design and development work as part of the Treasury Application’s product team(s) with direction and guidance from the Treasury Management. The primary responsibility for this role is to develop applications on AWS cloud leveraging CPA’s cloud footprint. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical and communication skills. The Candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on technical experience in developing serverless architecture using AWS services such as API Gateway, Cloud Formation, Lambda, REACT JS, Node JS and proven success designing, developing, testing, and implementing full stack web applications for a large organization. This position will work with the Product Owner(s), Scrum-master(s), solution architects and internal/external stakeholders to develop cloud solutions for CPA.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

·        Must possess AWS Certified Developer/Solution Architect certification.

·        Must have hands-on experience designing available, cost-efficient, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems on AWS; experience using variety of AWS services.

·        Full cycle implementation experience in developing web applications from scratch with micro-service architecture including various architecture patterns such as event driven model, messaging queue etc.

·        Strong hands-on experience and In depth knowledge of key AWS Services like CloudFront, EC2, CloudFormation, Lamda, S3, Route53, AWS CDK, SNS & SQS

·        Must be able to work with relational databases including AWS offered database and Oracle. Must be able to write and troubleshoot complex queries

·        Must have hands-on experience in developing applications in one or more language stacks including Python,Javascript, React JS, Node JS

·        Must have hands-on experience in developing applications using Mongo-DB

·        Must be able to work with DevOps pipeline using Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, MSBuild including AWS DevOps technologies

·        Must have experience in implementing proper security and authenticating structure using CPA’s approved security methods, Knowledge of OKTA and ForgeRock

·        Must possess knowledge of software development methodologies Agile and Scrum

·        Must possess problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary

·        Must perform related work as assigned 

CPA will require the Candidate to work on the following initiatives and will perform advanced analysis/programming tasks such as:

• Collaborate with CPA internal staff to develop new web applications in the AWS 
• Understand CPA’s current infrastructure and technology stack to employ best AWS solutions in working with cross-functional team member(s) and/or solution architects.
• Design and implement cost-effective migration strategies 
• Create different AWS services to build a serverless application

·        Design, and implement integration with internal systems and external third-party tools

• Create reusable, effective, and scalable code
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs in the system and develop solutions
• Conducting software analysis, testing, updating, and debugging 
• Perform extensive unit testing and update applications so that it can be used on all web browsers

·        Design and implement system maintenance and future scaling as required

·        Build and setup Dev, Test and Prod environments in cloud in working with CPA’s Cloud infrastructure team

·        Validate the environment to ensure it meets all security and compliance controls expected by the CPA’s IT Security team and CPA’s Information Security guidelines set by CPA ISO office

·        Design & implement continuous integration and continuous deployment CI-CD strategy in cloud.

·        Perform extensive code reviews and analysis.

·        Ensure that the industry standards and best practices are being followed; provide analysis to address any gaps & shortcomings.

·        Providing guidance and knowledge sharing to new/existing development staff.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.
