Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead EMI/EMC compliance, Electrical Safety validation, Cable Harness, and Encloure ion Box development for medical device systems. The role involves ownership of IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2 compliance activities,
in-house test capability development, hardware design reviews, root-cause investigations, and external certification support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead EMI/EMC testing and compliance activities per IEC 60601-1-2.
Develop and maintain in-house EMC and Electrical Safety test capabilities.
Perform EMC and Electrical safety testing failure analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective action implementation.
Develop and execute electrical safety testing per IEC 60601-1.
Coordinate EMC and Electrical Safety compliance and certification activities with external test labs.
Design and review cable harness architecture, connectors, shielding, and grounding solutions to meet EMC and electrical safety compliance requirements.
Design and review Enclosure box PCBs, schematics, and interconnect solutions.
Review cable drawings, wiring schematics, and pin assignments for Cable Harness and Enclosure Box
Support system integration, verification, risk assessments, and design reviews.
Required Skills
Strong expertise in IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2 standards.
Hands-on experience with EMC testing including Radiated Emission (RE) and Conducted Emission (CE), debugging, and certification.
Electrical Safety testing: Hipot, Leakage Current, Ground Bond, Insulation Testing.
Cable Harness design, connector selection, wiring schematics, and PCB development.
Experience with EMC equipment: Spectrum Analyzer, LISN, Current Clamp, Near-Field Probes, Antennas.
Required Qualifications
B.E. or M.E. in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
10+ years of handson electrical engineering experience
