Data Platform (Druid or Trino)

Avanciers are seeking a skilled Data Platform / DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in Apache Druid, Trino, and Python to build, operate, and optimize large-scale data platforms. The role focuses on cluster management, performance tuning, and automation in cloud and Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and operate Apache Druid and Trino clusters in production.

• Manage real-time and batch ingestion pipelines and optimize query performance.

• Develop Python-based automation and operational tooling.

• Build and maintain Docker and Kubernetes deployments.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.

• Monitor platform health, handle incidents, and perform performance tuning.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Apache Druid and Trino.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation).

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).

Preferred:

• Experience with Kafka and streaming ingestion.

• Experience with Iceberg or Delta Lake.

• Helm and Kubernetes operators experience.
