About the Role
Seeking a hands-on Databricks L2 Support SME who will serve as the primary technical POC between L1 Operations, L3 Engineering, domain stakeholders, and offshore support. The role will focus on platform reliability, deep technical triage, root-cause elimination, and continuously improving the Databricks/BDP support model.
Key Responsibilities
· Own L2 technical triage, diagnosis and resolution for Databricks jobs, pipelines and data issues.
· Act as the technical liaison/POC across L1 Operations, L3 Engineering and domain stakeholders.
· Lead/support Major Incident and P2 triage, data/log analysis and resolution.
· Drive RCA/Post-Incident Reviews and corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues.
· Support releases, hypercare and smooth transition of new BDP workloads into BAU support.
· Drive reliability, operational stability and continuous support improvement.
· Maintain runbooks, SOPs and KB/DISC documentation and enable offshore support through KT.
· Identify AI/automation opportunities to reduce support effort and improve reliability
Required Qualifications
· Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, ADF, PySpark, SQL and Delta Lake.
· Working knowledge of Unity Catalog and production Databricks workloads.
· Strong experience in L2/L3 data platform or ETL production support, incident triage, RCA and problem management.
· Ability to troubleshoot job/pipeline failures, data issues, dependencies, logs and performance issues.
· Strong stakeholder communication, ownership and cross-team coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Databricks Workflows/Lakeflow, Azure, CI/CD and observability tools.
· Exposure to Informatica, TWS and legacy ETL environments.
· Experience supporting governed data platforms using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
· Exposure to AI-assisted incident triage, support automation and proactive reliability improvements.
