Responsibilities - Designing, developing, and implementing APIs and microservices using technologies like Java, Spring Boot, and others.
- Understanding and applying microservices architecture patterns, ensuring each service has a single responsibility and clear boundaries.
- Implementing robust security measures for APIs and microservices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams (architects, product owners, QA, DevOps) to define requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless integration.
- Monitoring the performance of APIs and microservices, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring they are operational.
- Creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for APIs, microservices, and related processes.
- Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
Skills and Qualifications Experience with/in: - Azure Cloud (APIM, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL, Key Vault, ADLS/Blob Storage, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Functions).
- Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Java spring boot microservices
- Building API services using OAuth2, JWT, API Keys, or Mutual TLS
- DevOps tools using Git, or CI/CD tools.
- OpenAPI / Swagger
- Maven, Gradle
- JSON, XML formats
Preferred: - Azure Certification
- Experience integrating with external applications.
- High-Volume Real time Transaction Processing Platforms
- Functional knowledge on Banking/Fraud area.
Salary Range:
$137,400 - 233,600 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
