Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic team and support our client in delivering top-notch IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will work alongside the client's ServiceNow Platform Team to design, develop, and implement solutions that align with business objectives while leveraging the full capabilities of the ServiceNow platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Full Lifecycle Development: Work with the client's ServiceNow Team to develop, configure, and implement solutions for ServiceNow's IT Service Management (ITSM) modules based on approved user stories, business requirements, and prioritized work requests.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with business and technical teams, including client's ServiceNow Team and the Epic Prioritization Committee, to gather requirements, document user stories, and understand business needs.
- Configuration & Development: Configure ServiceNow applications and features, including but not limited to Service Catalog Items, Platform Form Changes, Reports, Dashboards, UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and security rules. Ensure solutions minimize customization and reduce long-term technical debt.
- Functional Testing & UAT Support: Conduct functional testing of developed solutions and collaborate with the client to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business requirements. Ensure UAT readiness and facilitate sign-off from the client.
- Data Migration: Establish and test data migration methods to ensure seamless transfer and integration of data into the ServiceNow platform.
- Code Review & Production Promotion: Review developed code and ensure quality and readiness for production deployment. Support the production promotion process with the ServiceNow Platform Team.
- Agile Workflow Management: Work in an Agile environment and collaborate with stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and assign work tasks based on the EPIC Demand Board and backlog requests. Ensure alignment with the ServiceNow team s priorities and project timelines.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation, including user stories, configurations, test plans, and deployment strategies, to ensure transparency and clarity in all stages of development.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 7-8 years of hands-on experience working with ServiceNow development, particularly within ITSM modules.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in ServiceNow configuration (system properties, application menus, forms, tables, fields, UI policies, client scripts, business rules, security rules, etc.).
- Strong experience with Service Catalog Items, Platform Form Changes, Reports, and Dashboards.
- Experience in data migration strategies and testing within ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ability to manage development tasks based on backlog prioritization.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to design and implement effective solutions.
- Testing & UAT: Experience performing functional testing and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or equivalent certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITOM, ITBM, or other advanced modules.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools in the ServiceNow environment.
Outcomes and Deliverables:
- Configured ServiceNow platform and in-scope applications per approved user stories.
- Functional Testing completed in collaboration with the client.
- Data Migration Methods tested and established.
- UAT Readiness achieved with client sign-off, ensuring a smooth transition to production.
