## Position Summary
We are seeking a **Senior Technical Lead / .NET Architect** with strong hands-on experience architecting, designing, and developing high-performance .NET Core applications.
This role requires a strong technical background, excellent customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to lead technical teams while managing project delivery, risks, stakeholder alignment, and technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will have **10 12+ years of overall experience**, along with **5+ years of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry experience**, working on complex enterprise applications using modern .NET Core, Core Web APIs, Entity Framework, relational databases, and scalable application architecture.
## Key Responsibilities
* Lead architecture, design, and development efforts for high-performance .NET Core applications with significant business and technical complexity.
* Create architecture documents, technical design documents, solution diagrams, and implementation plans.
* Lead technical discussions with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
* Perform design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
* Provide technical leadership across application architecture, data access, logging, observability, exception handling, and caching strategies.
* Plan and coordinate meetings with multidisciplinary teams across business, technology, QA, and project stakeholders.
* Prepare and coordinate project alignment meetings to ensure delivery objectives, timelines, risks, and dependencies are clearly understood.
* Provide regular reporting and updates to stakeholders regarding project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
* Manage conflicts and project risks related to requirement changes, technical challenges, communication gaps, and delivery constraints.
* Support technical decision-making and drive successful project execution from architecture and design through implementation and delivery.
* Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions align with customer expectations and enterprise standards.
## Required Skills and Experience
* **10 12+ years** of experience architecting, designing, and developing enterprise-level .NET applications.
* **5+ years of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry experience.**
* Strong hands-on experience with modern **.NET Core**, preferably **.NET 9 or later**.
* Strong experience with ** Core Web APIs**, including Minimal APIs and controllers.
* Experience developing Core web applications.
* Strong experience with **Entity Framework** and enterprise data-access strategies.
* Strong knowledge of relational databases and database-driven application development.
* Expertise in architecting scalable data-access solutions using .NET and relational databases.
* Strong understanding of logging, observability, exception handling, and caching strategies.
* Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.
* Experience performing technical design reviews and code reviews.
* Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to interface directly with customers, business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams.
* Ability to create architecture documents, technical design documentation, and solution diagrams.
* Strong project coordination, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
* Ability to manage risks, conflicts, changing requirements, and technical delivery challenges.
## Preferred Skills
* Familiarity with **Excel macros and VBA**.
* Prior experience with enterprise application modernization or complex system migration projects.
* Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments.
* Strong ability to bridge hands-on technical execution with technical project-management responsibilities.
