Summary

Job Title: Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration:12+ Months

As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you are responsible for deploying and monitoring IAM products/tools in Google Cloud Platform. You will manage the automation of all cloud components using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles within a CI/CD pipeline. You will work closely with IAM Product/Capability leads, IAM architecture team, IaaS/Cloud Engineering and CI/CD teams to identify and leverage the best practices for immutable design & deployment of applications in Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities:
Create and manage CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins
Create & maintain Terraform scripts for automated deployment of applications in Google Cloud Platform in a reliable and repeatable manner.
Create & maintain Chef playbooks, Jenkins pipelines scripts for automated deployment of applications
Manage the automation of cloud components using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles within a CI/CD pipeline
Work with the Application Support team to troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated deployment scripts.
Provide deployment, administration and infrastructure operations support for the deployed applications/tools in scope
Deployment of automated bi-weekly and/or monthly software & infrastructure updates as needed
Monitoring the health of the live application environment and responding to alerts
Work collaboratively with architecture teams to implement best practices for infrastructure and application deployments

Required Skills:
Previous experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer or Developer
Infrastructure and application deployment automation experience using Terraform and Jenkins to public clouds (Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS)
Strong sense of team and group collaboration
Experience with Agile methodologies
Experience automating system administration tasks, deployments, and other repeatable tasks
Experience with container technologies (Docker/GKE Cluster) is a plus
Experience with Python and other scripting languages is a plus
Experience with Packer is a plus
Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS IAM Policies, Roles and bindings is a plus
