This is not a regular DevOps Engineer position. The client is specifically looking for a Platform Builder / Greenfield DevSecOps Engineer who has architected and implemented DevSecOps platforms from scratch, not someone who has only maintained Jenkins pipelines or supported Kubernetes clusters.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevSecOps Platform Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a modern DevSecOps platform from the ground up. This role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on expertise in building secure CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, implementing container platforms, and integrating security throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise DevSecOps platforms from scratch.
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift container platforms.
- Configure Docker-based container environments.
- Implement security controls, including SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management.
- Support PostgreSQL databases and Apache Kafka integrations.
- Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Python and Bash.
- Deploy monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to improve platform reliability and security.
- Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and infrastructure issues.
- Create technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of DevOps/DevSecOps or Platform Engineering experience.
- Strong experience building DevSecOps platforms from scratch.
- Expertise with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Strong Kubernetes and OpenShift experience.
- Docker containerization.
- Security tools including SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka.
- Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Experience working with on-premises bare-metal infrastructure.
Preferred Skills
- GitOps (ArgoCD or FluxCD)
- SonarQube, Checkmarx, Trivy, Prisma, HashiCorp Vault
- Enterprise Platform Engineering experience
- Experience designing secure, scalable DevSecOps architectures
