Overview:The Desktop Support Technician provides Tier 1 & 2 technical support for endpoint devices and production-critical technology across a manufacturing facility. This role ensures stable operations on the production floor while delivering world-class customer service to internal employees. The position supports a broad range of hardware, software, and IT infrastructure technologies and participates in enterprise deployments and refresh initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide deskside and remote technical support for PCs, tablets, mobile devices, handheld scanners, printers, and peripheral equipment used throughout the manufacturing production environment.
- Perform reimaging, deployment, configuration, and refresh of enterprise workstations to ensure consistent performance and adherence to corporate standards.
- Troubleshoot a wide variety of hardware and software issues, including OS, application, connectivity, and device functionality problems, ensuring timely resolution with an emphasis on exceptional customer service.
- Utilize IT Service Management best practices and the ServiceNow platform to log, manage, and resolve support requests in alignment with SLAs.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of IT infrastructure technologies used within the manufacturing facility.
- Execute hardware asset management activities including inventory tracking, device lifecycle management, and hardware replacements or returns.
- Assist with IT projects, production technology rollouts, and deployment initiatives as directed by the business and IT leadership.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, technology standards, and security requirements while maintaining a high level of professionalism and user satisfaction.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Secondary Skills)- Experience with handheld barcode scanners, ruggedized devices, or manufacturing-floor technology.
- Familiarity with production workflows, MES systems, or operational technology environments.
- Basic networking knowledge (LAN, WAN, switch ports, wireless connectivity).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
