As a Technical Partner Engineer, you will serve as the technical authority for partner\nintegrations, working closely with smart home accessory manufacturers to ensure\nseamless implementation of Apple Home technologies. You will focus heavily on\nsystem-level debugging and issue resolution, analyzing interactions across hardware,\nfirmware, networking stacks, and cloud interfaces to identify root causes using log\nanalysis, protocol tracing, and end-to-end validation.\n\nYou will apply deep expertise in Thread, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to\ndiagnose connectivity, performance, and interoperability issues across real-world\nenvironments. Familiarity with the Matter protocol is essential, as you will guide partners\nin building compliant, reliable, and interoperable solutions.\n\nYou will evaluate implementations, identify design gaps early, and recommend scalable solutions aligned with Apple's standards for quality and user experience.\n\nYou will independently drive technical workstreams, manage complex issue backlogs,\nand ensure timely resolution of critical blockers. Close collaboration with internal\nengineering teams will be key to resolving platform-level issues and strengthening the\noverall Apple Home ecosystem.\n\nIn addition to debugging, you will provide hands-on technical guidance on architecture,\nsystem design, and embedded connectivity best practices. \n\nThis role requires strong ownership, the ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous\nenvironments, and a passion for solving complex, system-level challenges to deliver\nhighly reliable and interoperable products.\n\n\n\n
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. \n3 - 5+ years of experience in embedded software, systems engineering, or technical partner engineering roles. \nStrong foundation in embedded systems engineering, including hardware-software integration. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues across networking stacks and device interactions. \nHands-on experience with Thread, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio technologies, along with proficiency in protocol analysis tools, packet sniffers, and log analysis workflows. Experience working with external partners or OEMs, driving programs from concept to launch, managing dependencies, timelines, and delivery of consumer hardware products. \nExcellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical and data-driven approach to debugging. Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical issues and solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.\n
