Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and automating comprehensive test cases to ensure the quality of our software. This role involves close collaboration with the development team to identify, track, and resolve defects throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
- Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in a given sprint.
- Automate test cases for the User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium or Tosca.
- Execute all levels of testing, including functional, integration, and regression.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts.
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing timely solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging.
- Apply quality principles and ensure standards and processes are implemented within projects.
Required Qualifications
Education: A technical Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math.
Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in software testing. Experience with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT) and working in an Agile environment is required.
Technical Skills:- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, and ETL technologies.
- Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and database changes.
- Experience with automation testing using tools like Selenium or Tosca.
- Strong experience writing complex SQL queries using joins.
- Proficiency with Unix commands and execution.
- Working knowledge of test management software such as qTest or Octane.
- Experience with Autosys job scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the banking domain.
- Prior experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem identification, solving, and communication skills.
