BPM Engineer III (Appian Developer)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced BPM Engineer III (Appian Developer) to support the design, development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of Appian-based business process management solutions. The role involves developing complex Appian applications, workflow automation, backend database functionality, system integrations, defect resolution, and participation in Agile sprint activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Appian applications and workflows.
- Build and enhance complex Appian SAIL interfaces and process models.
- Develop Appian objects including records, reports, interfaces, process models, and integrations.
- Perform application enhancements, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
- Develop and optimize backend database solutions.
- Create and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of overall IT experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on Appian development experience.
- Strong expertise in complex Appian SAIL development.
- Experience with Appian process modeling, records, reports, integrations, and workflow automation.
- Strong backend database development experience with:
- MySQL
- MariaDB
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Appian Level 2 (L2) Certification.
- Experience with Appian deployment and environment management.
- Experience in BPM and workflow optimization initiatives.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and database optimization.
