Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Development & Customization: Design and implement Guidewire applications using GOSU, Java, and XML.
- Integration: Develop plugins, messaging, and APIs to connect Guidewire with internal/external systems.
- Requirements Analysis: Analyze functional requirements to determine if they can be met via out-of-the-box (OOTB) features or customization.
- Testing & Debugging: Perform unit testing, resolve defects during QA/UAT phases, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Required Technical Skills
- Core Guidewire: Strong experience in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- Languages/Tools: Proficiency in GOSU, Java, XML, and SQL.
- Integrations: Knowledge of SOAP/REST web services, plugins, and messaging.
- Data Modeling: Experience in extending Data Model elements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Typically 3-10+ years of experience in Guidewire configuration and integration.
