Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced FPGA Development Engineer with strong hands-on experience in VHDL-based FPGA development, preferably within the aerospace/defense industry. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, integrating, testing, and debugging FPGA-based systems using Xilinx FPGA architectures and tools.
DO-254 development experience is mandatory for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement FPGA logic using VHDL.
- Develop FPGA-based DSP/digital signal processing implementations.
- Work with Xilinx FPGA architectures and development tools.
- Perform FPGA simulation, verification, debugging, and timing analysis.
- Support FPGA board bring-up, hardware testing, and system integration.
- Perform timing closure and timing analysis for FPGA designs.
- Use MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and algorithm development.
- Work in a Linux development environment.
- Perform simulation using ModelSim / Questa.
- Troubleshoot FPGA and hardware-related issues in the laboratory.
- Support RF, SDR, radar, communications, or similar signal-processing systems.
- Capture and analyze system requirements and translate them into detailed FPGA designs.
- Prepare detailed design and development documentation.
- Follow aerospace development processes and standards, including DO-254.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on FPGA development experience.
- Strong VHDL development experience.
- DO-254 experience Mandatory.
- Aerospace/defense industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Xilinx FPGA tools and architectures.
- Experience implementing DSP/digital signal processing algorithms on FPGA.
- Experience with MATLAB modeling and simulation.
- Experience with timing analysis and timing closure.
- Hands-on FPGA board bring-up and hardware debugging.
- Experience with hardware lab testing and system integration.
- Experience with ModelSim or Questa.
- Linux development environment experience.
- Experience with requirements capture and detailed technical documentation.
- RF, SDR, radar, or communications systems experience is highly desirable.
