Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support enterprise software development and SaaS modernization initiatives by gathering business requirements, improving business processes, and facilitating successful application implementation. This opportunity is based in Richmond, VA, and is open to candidates within a 100-mile radius of Richmond, VA. The client is only considering candidates who can work without requiring present or future employment sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
• Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements sessions
• Create business process models, workflow diagrams, and technical documentation
• Develop and manage user stories and requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Support cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects
• Collaborate with business, development, architecture, and data teams
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities
• Track requirement changes and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Support project planning, knowledge transfer, and process improvement initiatives
Required Skills (with Years)
• Cloud-Hosted SaaS Implementation Projects – 4+ years
• Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid Project Methodologies – 5+ years
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) – 5+ years
• Automated Requirements/Development Management Tools – 4+ years
• User Story Development – 4+ years
Preferred Skills
• Technical Background – 3+ years
• Clinical Project Experience – 3+ years
• JIRA or Azure DevOps – 3+ years
• Data Modernization and Enterprise Data Warehouse
• VITA Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) and ECOS Process
Preferred Certifications
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner – 2+ years
