Salary: $22.54 USD Hourly - $29.87 USD Hourly
Description: One of our clients is looking to hire an Optical Repair Technician. In this role you would be supporting fiber lasers, optical assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems. You'd get hands-on exposure to advanced optical repairs, fiber splicing, laser testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

Onsite in Oxford, MA
Hourly pay range: $22.54 - 29.87
Responsibilities:- Repair, test, and maintain industrial and fiber laser systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and optical components.
- Perform optical rework, cleaning, and fiber splicing on laser assemblies.
- Inspect components for damage, contamination, or alignment issues.
- Document repairs and test results in ERP/CRM and RMA systems.
- Follow detailed work instructions, safety procedures, and laser/EHS standards.
- Maintain an organized workspace aligned with 5S practices.
- Collaborate with senior technicians on complex repairs and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:- Associate or Technical degree preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
- 2-4 years of experience in industrial laser systems, cutting, welding, or marking applications.
- Experience working with laser, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems is a plus.
- Experience with 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies is a strong plus.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
- Excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills with high and low-voltage equipment.
- Proficient mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting capability.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures consistently.
