Summary

Role: Senior MLOps Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite - 3 days/week)
Duration: 6 months contract

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior MLOps Engineer with strong expertise in Python, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and Linux administration to design, automate, and maintain scalable machine learning infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building production-grade ML platforms, automating deployments, managing containerized environments, and supporting end-to-end ML operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS for ML workloads
Build and maintain scalable MLOps infrastructure and automation pipelines
Develop CI/CD pipelines for ML model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible
Monitor ML platform performance, system health, resource utilization, and cost optimization
Implement and support agentic architecture workflows in production environments
Troubleshoot Linux-based systems, containers, and distributed applications
Collaborate with data science, ML engineering, and platform teams to operationalize models
Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Python development and scripting
Expertise in Kubernetes and AWS EKS administration
Solid experience with Linux systems and troubleshooting
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks
Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management
Experience supporting production ML systems and workflows

Preferred Skills

Experience with Terraform, Helm, or ArgoCD
Familiarity with MLflow, Kubeflow, or related MLOps platforms
Knowledge of GPU infrastructure and distributed training environments
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
Experience designing scalable cloud-native architectures
