About the Role:
We are seeking experienced
Mainframe Software Engineers with strong expertise in
COBOL, JCL, and z/OS to contribute to complex, high-impact disclosure development work. In this role, you will design, build, and enhance compliance-driven documents using a
Document Generation subsystem within a large-scale mainframe application. You will be part of an Agile squad delivering accurate, reliable, and scalable output across online and batch workflows.
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy problem-solving, understanding business rules, optimizing document logic, and supporting production environments in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement compliance disclosures using document-generation code within mainframe applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, refine, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Create and modify form templates using internal tooling.
- Execute and validate mainframe batch and online jobs to test updated forms and disclosures.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and triage issues in production and QA environments.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and maintain clear documentation.
Required Qualifications: - 6+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development.
- Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, z/OS, with demonstrated delivery capabilities.
- Experience working with CICS (online) and batch processing environments.
- Hands-on experience developing and testing disclosures using DocuGen/ACAPS or similar document-generation subsystems.
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills for production-level issues.
