Busek is seeking a talented and motivated Research Engineer to join our cutting-edge propulsion team. This position focuses on the development, testing, and design of advanced thrusters, propellants, and electron emitter technologies. The ideal candidate will contribute to R&D experimental work, combining hands-on engineering with deep physics and aerospace knowledge.About Busek:

  • Design and Fabrication: Develop designs and oversee the creation of custom parts for propulsion systems.
  • Experimental Testing: Conduct testing and validation of thruster components and new propellant technologies.
  • Research & Development: Collaborate on innovative projects, including electron emitter development.
  • System Integration: Work across teams to ensure successful integration of propulsion systems into broader platforms.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze data and troubleshoot issues in design and testing phases.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Experience:
    • Hands-on experience with electric propulsion (EP) systems preferred.
    • Knowledge of thruster design and operation is essential.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of physics and aerospace principles.
    • Proficiency in experimental design and data analysis.
    • Familiarity with CAD software for part design is a plus.
