Java AWS Lead Developer

We’re looking for a Java AWS Lead Developer with strong experience in modern Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, working on cloud-native applications in an AWS environment. You’ll help modernize systems, improve code quality, and support CI/CD-driven delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Java 11 and 17
• Build and scale microservices using Spring Boot
• Develop RESTful APIs and manage inter-service communication
• Work with SQL (AWS RDS) and NoSQL databases
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS (Lambda, ECS, CodePipeline, Amazon MQ)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Docker
• Break down monolithic applications into microservices
• Apply patterns like Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, and load balancing
• Write unit tests using JUnit and ensure code quality with SonarQube
• Use AI tools to improve productivity for code generation, testing, logging, and documentation
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in Java application development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Solid experience with AWS cloud services
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployments
• Experience with automated testing and code quality practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Full-stack development experience in AWS environments
• Experience in FinTech or regulated industries
• J2EE background
