Job Description:
Senior Planisware Software Engineer

Location: Warren, MI or Austin, TX (Hybrid Onsite)

Role Overview

An experienced Senior Planisware Software Engineer is required to design, build, and maintain an enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) platform. This role involves applying rigorous software engineering principles to the Planisware Enterprise ecosystem. Responsibilities include engineering high-performance modules, architecting scalable data schemas, and developing complex, real-time backend integrations. Collaboration with implementation partners, enterprise architects, and infrastructure teams is necessary to align the platform with global software standards, CI/CD pipelines, and robust security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write clean, modular, and maintainable custom code within Planisware V7 Enterprise utilizing advanced scripting paradigms (OPX2Script / L7).
  • Architect scalable data models, objects, macro-attributes, and custom database schemas within the Planisware engine to support heavy engineering analytics.
  • Engineer robust, low-latency APIs and web services (REST/SOAP, IntelliTx, Open-API) to connect Planisware with core enterprise systems including SAP, Jira, Azure, and Data Lakes.
  • Debug complex technical bottlenecks, profile memory usage, conduct advanced code reviews, and optimize heavily nested SQL queries for maximum system performance.
  • Manage code versioning using Git and GitHub, orchestrate multi-environment code synchronization, integrate automated testing scripts into deployment pipelines, and update development tasks in Jira.
  • Implement enterprise-grade authentication, authorization, and data encryption standards (such as OAuth and SAML) within the platform environments.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Software Engineering, with at least 3 years of dedicated, hands-on engineering and customization within Planisware Enterprise.

Technical Skills: Proficient-level mastery of Planisware Scripting Language (OPX2Script / L6 / L7) and advanced dynamic reporting architecture. Relational database architecture proficiency (Oracle, SQL Server) and experience writing complex, highly optimized SQL queries are required. Deep technical experience building and troubleshooting enterprise-scale web services, microservices, and asynchronous data pipelines is necessary.

Software Practices: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, and SDLC best practices. Tech stack familiarity with Java, JavaScript, Python, or standard web application architectures wrapping around enterprise systems is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience mapping engineering data, R&D budgets, or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data structures in an automotive or manufacturing context.
  • Planisware Developer certification is preferred.
