Job Description – Guidewire Developer

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success managing teams and executing in the following areas:

  1. Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter configuration and development experience.
  2. Knowledge of the P&C Insurance domain, including Policy, Claims, and Billing applications as per product requirements.
  3. Designing, developing, modifying, and deploying software using object-oriented programming concepts, design standards, and best practices.
  4. Planning, designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and maintaining GOSU language application code within Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
  5. Expertise in Guidewire rating architecture and algorithm development.
  6. Hands-on experience with GWPC Rating functionality, including Ratebooks, Rate Routines, Rate Tables, Param Sets, etc.
  7. Knowledge of Rating Engine, Cost Data, and DTO-based rating.
  8. Proactively identifying and effectively addressing issues in rating.
  9. Handling responsibilities for organizing code merges and environment management tasks.
  10. Performing minor and major Guidewire software upgrades.
  11. Developing GUnit/JUnit tests for validating business logic.
  12. Managing projects, programs, and teams of various sizes.
  13. Leading a team of developers and collaborating with both onshore and offshore teams across different time zones.
  14. Architecting and creating solution designs and effectively presenting solution architecture with various options and estimates.
  15. Assisting in GOSU code reviews, code cleanups, and supporting sprint demonstrations.

Certifications Preferred

  • Guidewire Certifications in PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
