Summary
Owns the end-to-end technical architecture of the EcoMed360 Secure Digital Data Fabric, translating CMS interoperability mandates (Patient Access, Provider Access, Payer-to-Payer, and Prior Authorization APIs) into a coherent system design built on the EcoMed360 core platform codebase and its supporting SQL data layer.
Key Responsibilities
• Define the multi-layer data fabric architecture (ingestion, semantic translation, FHIR exposure, and presentation layers) connecting the EcoMed360 EHR core to external payer, provider, and patient-facing systems.
• Select and govern applicable FHIR R4 profiles and implementation guides (US Core, Da Vinci PDex/CRD/DTR/PAS, CARIN IG for Blue Button, Plan-Net) for the contract's scope.
• Design the semantic translation middleware and legacy-to-cloud interoperability wrappers that map legacy SQL schemas to standardized FHIR resources.
• Review architecture against HIPAA, HITRUST, and TEFCA participation requirements; coordinate with compliance staff on certification readiness.
• Serve as technical lead in architecture reviews and federal/investor-facing proposal documentation.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years designing healthcare data integration or health information exchange (HIE) architectures.
• Deep familiarity with HL7 FHIR R4, USCDI v1/v3, and SMART on FHIR (OAuth2/OIDC) authorization patterns.
• Working knowledge of the platform's PHP-based EHR core internals and relational database design (MySQL/MariaDB).
