Project Description:

This team builds the software that runs Tesla s insurance and service operations behind the scenes from insurance claims to vehicle and energy service workflows using modern full-stack technologies and scalable backend systems.

The Tesla Insurance Claims Application team builds and supports internal web applications that power service and claims operations across multiple Tesla business lines.

At a high level, the team focuses on:

• Insurance Claims Management
  • Tools used to manage, process, and track vehicle insurance claims
• Service Workflow Platforms
  • Applications that support Tesla s vehicle service operations
• Cross-Product Service Systems
  • Platforms that also extend into Energy products(e.g., solar, Powerwall service workflows).
    These are enterprise-grade internal systems, not consumer-facing apps.

Duties:

• Build a secure, intuitive, fast, and beautiful application for Tesla s Insurance Claims
• Quickly adapt to new concepts related to insurance claims submissions and updates, applying your expertise to deliver impactful solutions
• Push your first PR with your own code to the Tesla app in your first week
• Collaborate with partner teams to design and implement scalable features using protobuf data contracts
• Own a section of the Tesla app, ensuring high quality, performance, and reliability
• Write documentation and perform code reviews to maintain engineering excellence across the team
• Drive continuous improvement by keeping processes, code, and tooling safe, fast, and efficient
• Apply first principles thinking to optimize practices and deliver better customer experiences faster.

Top Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in frontend development
• Strong expertise with Angular 8+ and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of building scalable and performant web applications
• Experience working in enterprise environments with cross-functional teams
• Strong programming foundation with clean coding practices and debugging skills
• Excellent knowledge of modern development workflows including Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks

Nice to have: experience in Insurance, Claims, or cross-platform UI design systems
