SAP BRIM Functional Consultant

Detailed Job Description:

The SAP BRIM Functional Consultant will play a critical role in supporting enterprise-level SAP BRIM and FICA implementations and enhancements within a large-scale government program environment. The selected consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, technical teams, testing teams, and data migration teams to ensure successful delivery, configuration, testing, and support of SAP BRIM/FICA functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the solution delivery team by coordinating SAP BRIM activities across the program and ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
• Deliver functional designs and perform system configurations for SAP BRIM and FICA capabilities, including:
• Payments processing
• Dunning procedures
• Collections management
• Account determination
• Contract accounting
• CI/GL integrations
• Lead and support functional testing activities by:
• Reviewing and validating test scripts
• Executing test scenarios
• Identifying and resolving defects
• Ensuring complete BRIM/FICA process validation
• Assist SAP BRIM architects with various configuration and enhancement activities including:
• Business Partner setup
• Contract Account configuration
• Correspondence management
• Event framework updates
• Provide BRIM/FICA process expertise to the testing team for:
• Test scenario design
• Test data preparation
• Defect analysis and resolution
• Work closely with the data migration team to support:
• BRIM/FICA data mapping
• Translation rules
• Cross-reference maintenance
• Open item conversion activities
• Participate in cutover planning and readiness activities, including FICA migration and deployment support.
• Maintain and update Azure DevOps work items, project documentation, progress tracking, and deliverables associated with BRIM/FICA tasks.
• Provide post go-live production support for FICA processes including:
• Payment interface monitoring
• Dunning execution
• Settlement job monitoring
• Incident management and issue resolution
• Collaborate with technical and integration teams on:
• BRF+ rules
• Correspondence forms
• Custom enhancements
• Integration with external payment providers
• Support audit, compliance, and governance activities by ensuring FICA configurations align with financial controls, security standards, and reporting requirements.
• Fully document all project-related work including:
• Functional design documents
• Technical specifications
• Process diagrams
• Test plans and test scripts
• Impact analysis reports
• Lessons learned
• Best practices documentation
• Other required client deliverables
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with:
• Business users
• Technology teams
• Project sponsors
• Vendors
• Client stakeholders
• Lead and participate in enterprise system project activities and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Work independently to complete assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision while adhering to all organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize enterprise tools and technologies required for project execution and operational support.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation experience is mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience as a SAP BRIM Functional Analyst with CI and/or FICA expertise required. Candidates with 8+ years of experience are highly preferred.

• Interest calculation
• Open item management
• CI/GL integration
• Hands-on experience with:
• BRF+ (Business Rule Framework Plus)
• SAP Event Framework
• FICA enhancements and integrations
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools including:
• Microsoft Teams
• Word
• Excel
• PowerPoint
• Azure DevOps Testing Module

Preferred / Desired Skills:

• 3+ years of SAP BRIM experience preferred.
• Experience working on enterprise business solutions and large SAP transformation projects.
• Knowledge of ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies is considered a plus.

Education and Certifications:

• SAP S/4HANA BRIM Certifications (BR230 / BR234) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
