In this role, you'll contribute to the full product lifecycle-from concept and design to testing and production-while supporting key business goals such as profitability, product reliability, and operational efficiency. What You'll Do- Design and develop new products, as well as enhance existing ones
- Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity
- Select components and materials based on product requirements and performance needs
- Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentation
- Standardize designs by leveraging existing components to improve cost efficiency and reliability
- Participate in field testing to evaluate product performance and make design improvements
- Prepare and release Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Support troubleshooting efforts with the service team to resolve mechanical issues
- Partner with Purchasing to source materials and approve vendors
- Assist with prototype builds and ensure smooth transition from design to production
- Promote and contribute to a strong safety culture in all work activities
What You Bring- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in product design, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong proficiency with CAD tools, especially SolidWorks
- Solid understanding of mechanical design, materials selection, and manufacturing processes
- Experience creating BOMs, performing basic stress analysis, and developing detailed part drawings
- Familiarity with new product development processes (Stage Gate); PFMEA experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to document and explain technical concepts
