In this role, you'll contribute to the full product lifecycle-from concept and design to testing and production-while supporting key business goals such as profitability, product reliability, and operational efficiency. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on design work, problem-solving, and seeing their ideas come to life in the field.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop new products, as well as enhance existing ones
  • Create 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity
  • Select components and materials based on product requirements and performance needs
  • Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentation
  • Standardize designs by leveraging existing components to improve cost efficiency and reliability
  • Participate in field testing to evaluate product performance and make design improvements
  • Prepare and release Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Support troubleshooting efforts with the service team to resolve mechanical issues
  • Partner with Purchasing to source materials and approve vendors
  • Assist with prototype builds and ensure smooth transition from design to production
  • Promote and contribute to a strong safety culture in all work activities

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in product design, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong proficiency with CAD tools, especially SolidWorks
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design, materials selection, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience creating BOMs, performing basic stress analysis, and developing detailed part drawings
  • Familiarity with new product development processes (Stage Gate); PFMEA experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Clear communication skills, including the ability to document and explain technical concepts
