Your Role and Responsibilities
Test Lab Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a laboratory dedicated to testing and validating semiconductor devices (e.g., chips, wafers, components). This role involves managing technical staff, ensuring adherence to quality standards (such as ISO or TS16949), maintaining complex testing equipment, and ensuring on time delivery of test results.
· Manage daily lab operations, including workflow, scheduling, and prioritization of testing requests.
· Supervise, train, and mentor technicians and engineers; conduct performance evaluations and ensure proper staffing levels.
· Ensure all testing processes meet industry standards, company specifications, and quality requirements (e.g., ISO 9001)
· Manage the calibration, maintenance, and repair of specialized test equipment (e.g., probe stations, automated test equipment (ATE), SEM).
· Enforce strict safety protocols for handling sensitive electronics, chemical materials, and cleanroom environments.
· Analyze test data and prepare reports for management regarding lab performance, metrics, and efficiency.
· Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting, data analysis, and root cause investigation of failures.
Required Qualifications and Skills
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
· Experience: 3–7+ years of laboratory experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of semiconductor device testing, validation methodologies, and characterization tools.
· Skills:
o Proficiency with Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools.
o Familiarity with Cleanroom protocols.
o Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
o Problem-solving abilities (e.g., 8D, Root Cause Analysis).
