Software Engineer – API Integrations (Contract)
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer – API Integrations to support a large-scale enterprise systems integration initiative. This engineer will design, build, and maintain APIs that connect business-critical applications with enterprise platforms, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable data exchange.This contract is 4-6 months with full benefits.
Responsibilities
Design and develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs and integration services.
Build and maintain integrations between enterprise applications (ERP, PLM, MES, SCM, etc.).
Collaborate with engineering and business teams to understand workflows and data models.
Implement reliable data synchronization and troubleshoot integration issues.
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and optimize API performance.
Qualifications
7+ years of software development and API integration experience.
Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs, and PostgreSQL.
Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar.
Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, authentication (OAuth2, JWT, SAML), and secure API design.
Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.), and SQL.
Nice to Have
AWS, Docker, ECS/Fargate, or serverless technologies.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi).
ETL/data transformation experience.
Background supporting manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain environments.
