Cloud DevOps Architect – Cloud Center of Excellence

Location: San Jose, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Expected Start: Mid-September 2026
Contract Duration: Through January 2027, with potential extension/conversion
Experience: 8–15 years, depending on seniority and scope

Role Summary

We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise to join our client's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).

Key Responsibilities

Manage, maintain, and optimize Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Develop automation and scripts using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Work with Git, ArgoCD, and Azure Repos for source control and deployment automation.
Support Kubernetes/containerized environments, including deployment and infrastructure management.
Apply cloud security best practices across infrastructure and workloads.
Work extensively with cloud networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, and network architecture.
Support API management and cloud-based application integrations.
Collaborate with CCoE engineers and architects in San Jose and San Diego, as well as the CCoE team in the Netherlands.
Participate in Agile/Scrum development and engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure.
AWS experience is preferred.
Strong cloud networking background.
Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalling, and network security.
Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and best practices.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible.
Expertise in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
Experience with KQL for cloud monitoring, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
Experience with Git, ArgoCD, and Azure Repos.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required Certifications

Candidates should have at minimum:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
