Job Description

SOS International LLC is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the readiness, maintenance, and operational integrity of facilities that have been installed/built to specifically support federal public health emergency response missions. This role ensures SOSi warehouses, staging areas, operational spaces, and deployable facility assets remain safe, functional, and mission-ready at all times.

The Facilities Manager plays a critical part in sustaining national response capabilities, supporting logistics, deployment operations, and rapid mobilization during emergencies.

Duties:
  • Facility Operations & Maintenance: Manages the day?to?day operations of SOSi facilities, including warehouses, storage sites, and mission support buildings. Oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and facility lifecycle management. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local building codes, safety regulations, and ASPR and SOSi facility standards.
  • Readiness & Emergency Support: Maintains operational readiness of facilities used for emergency response, including staging areas, loading docks, and deployable structures. Supports rapid mobilization activities by ensuring facilities can accommodate surge operations, equipment movement, and team deployment. Coordinates facility support during activations, including extended hours, emergency repairs, and environmental controls.
  • Asset & Infrastructure Management: Oversees facility infrastructure systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, fire suppression). Manages facility-related equipment, tools, and material handling assets. Tracks facility conditions, maintenance schedules, and capital improvement needs.
  • Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: Manages relationships with facility service providers, maintenance contractors, and utility vendors. Oversees service agreements, work orders, and performance of contracted facility support services. Ensures timely completion of repairs, upgrades, and inspections.
  • Safety & Compliance: Implements and enforces facility safety programs, emergency procedures, and hazard mitigation practices. Conducts routine safety inspections and ensures corrective actions are completed. Maintains documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and ASPR reporting requirements.
  • Planning & Administration: Develops facility management plans, maintenance schedules, and operational procedures. Supports budgeting, procurement, and resource planning for facility operations. Provides facility status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to program leadership.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business, public administration, industrial engineering, logistics, or related field.
  • 5 years experience in facility management, building operations, industrial maintenance, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and facility compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple facilities or complex operational environments.
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and government partners.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem?solving skills.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • May have to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance (depending on customer).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7 years experience supporting federal emergency response programs (HHS/ASPR, FEMA, DoW, etc.).
  • Background in warehouse operations, logistics facilities, or mission support environments.
  • Certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting deployable or temporary facilities

Work Environment
  • Travel to emergency sites is required.
  • Position may require irregular hours during emergency activations.
