POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning & Reporting Consultant with 10+ years of experience in enterprise BI, planning, and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Analytics Cloud solutions, specializing in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and advanced reporting. This role requires strong functional knowledge, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAP Analytics Cloud - Planning
Lead end-to-end SAC Planning implementations, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning models
Design and build complex planning models, data actions, multi-actions, and advanced calculations
Enable driver-based planning, scenario modeling, allocations, and simulations
Optimize planning performance and data workflows for large, enterprise-scale models
Integrate SAC Planning with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BDC, IBP, Success Factors SAP ECC, and non-SAP sources.

Reporting & Analytics
Design and deliver interactive dashboards, stories, and analytic applications in SAC
Implement financial, operational, and executive-level reporting
Develop advanced calculations, custom measures, and input controls
Apply best practices for visualization, UX design, and performance optimization
Support self-service analytics adoption across business units

Data Integration & Architecture
Configure and manage live and acquired connections
Set up and maintain data integration, data models, and hierarchies
Work with SAP Datasphere (SAP Data Warehouse Cloud) and SAP BW environments
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance

Security & Administration
Design and implement role-based security, data access, and authorization concepts
Manage SAC environments, transports, and deployment strategies
Support audits, compliance, and data privacy requirements

Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with business users, finance teams, and IT to translate requirements into SAC solutions
Lead workshops, design sessions, and end-user training
Provide technical leadership, solution guidance, and mentoring to junior consultants
Support UAT, go-live, and post-production enhancements

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Location: Denver, Colorado
Onsite, office-based role

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning, Stories, Analytic Applications)
SAC Data Actions, Multi-Actions, Advanced Formulas
SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP ECC integration
SAP Datasphere (preferred)
Strong data modeling concepts
Understanding of finance concepts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

Preferred:
SAP SAC Certification (Planning or Analytics)
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies
Exposure to Advanced Analytics, Predictive Planning, or scripting in SAC
Prior consulting experience in large-scale enterprise environments
Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills

EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of experience in SAP Analytics, BI, or Enterprise Planning solutions
5+ years of hands-on SAP Analytics Cloud experience, including Planning
Proven experience delivering end-to-end SAC Planning & Reporting implementations
Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in related field.

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $185,000 per year.
