Oracle DBA

Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Oracle Database Administrator to support and maintain Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will assist in database administration tasks, ensure system stability, and help maintain performance, security, and availability of databases across development, testing, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.

• Perform regular database monitoring to ensure performance and availability.

• Assist in database backup and recovery operations using RMAN.

• Support database patching and upgrades.

• Monitor alerts, troubleshoot issues, and resolve database-related incidents.

• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.

• Assist in performance tuning and query optimization.

• Work with application teams during deployments and releases.

• Maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.

• Follow standard operating procedures for change management and support.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration.

• Good understanding of SQL and basic PL/SQL.

• Knowledge of backup and recovery concepts.

• Familiarity with Oracle RMAN.

• Basic understanding of performance tuning concepts.

• Experience working on Linux/Unix environments.

• Understanding of database security best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to Data Guard or RAC environments.

• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell or Python).

• Familiarity with cloud environments (OCI/AWS/Azure).

• Understanding of IT support processes.
