Role: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – AI/Automation Focus
Location: Washington, DC – Hybrid
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Job Summary:
We are seeking a mid-level SDET with 5+ years of experience to build and enhance AI-powered test automation solutions. This role focuses on developing scalable automation frameworks, integrating AI-driven testing capabilities, and supporting CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts (UI, API, and integration).
Implement AI-driven test automation using AWS Bedrock, LangChain, and related tools.
Build and deploy automation solutions within CI/CD pipelines (CloudBees/Jenkins).
Develop self-healing scripts and intelligent test automation strategies.
Troubleshoot and optimize automation infrastructure and test environments.
Integrate AI agents with existing testing and DevOps ecosystems.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure quality and scalability.
Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, efficiency, and automation maturity.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
5+ years of experience in SDET / test automation roles.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java/JavaScript, SQL, and Shell scripting.
Experience with Selenium, Playwright, and API testing frameworks.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (CloudBees, Jenkins).
Familiarity with AI/ML tools (AWS Bedrock, LangChain, Pandas).
Proven ability to build AI-driven and self-healing automation solutions.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with advanced AI-based test generation and optimization.
Exposure to microservices and containerized architectures.
Background in AI/ML or intelligent automation frameworks.
