Position Title: Data Architect with Health Care Payer Domain
Location: Philadelphia, PA-Remote
Duration: Long Term
Experience Level: 13+ years

About the Role:
The Data Architect is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure and solutions that enable efficient and secure collection, storage, and analysis of healthcare data in different data platforms (Data Warehouse & Data Lake). This role involves working with stakeholders including business and IT teams to ensure data architecture supports business needs while adhering to compliance and security standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in HEDIS, CMS Interoperability (FHIR).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement integrated, scalable, efficient, and secure data systems.
  • Develop and maintain data models supporting healthcare requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend data management technologies and platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
  • Collaborate with analysts, scientists, and IT teams.
  • Optimize data storage and processing solutions.
  • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members.
Experience & Skills:
  • Expertise in Data Architecture, databases, and cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS).
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CCDs, HIE).
  • Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, PySpark, and Python.
  • Experience with tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years in Data Architecture (Healthcare preferred).
  • Experience managing large-scale healthcare data systems.
  • Experience designing interoperability solutions.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Snowflake).
  • Experience with EHR systems like Epic, Cerner is a plus.
