Summary

Job Title: Google Workspace Administrator
Location: Washington, DC
Type: 12-month contract
Compensation: 35-40/hr 
Work Model: Hybrid – 10 days onsite per month
Security Clearance: Public Trust suitability + OPM FBI fingerprint criminal background check with financial/credit review

Responsibilities

  • Support USHMM as the Subject Matter Expert for Google Workspace, maintaining the environment and optimizing solutions.
  • Review and own the Workspace architecture, recommend improvements, and lead tenant optimization efforts.
  • Administer all domains and core services including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meeting, Chat, and Calendar.
  • Manage users, groups, organizational units, and role-based access controls.
  • Establish and enforce Workspace governance policies, support records management, and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Configure and enforce security controls such as MFA, password policies, device trust, and DLP controls.
  • Coordinate the integration with Okta, CASB, ServiceNow, and other vendor platforms.
  • Serve as escalation point and provide technical training, guidance, and documentation for Museum staff.
  • Perform routine health checks, configuration reviews, and incident response to ensure continuous service availability.
Requirements
  • Google Workspace Administrator Professional certification or Associate certification, current and in good standing.
  • Extensive experience supporting Google Workspace at enterprise scale with complex organizational structures.
  • Ability to support NIST-, FISMA-, and FedRAMP-aligned environments.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust suitability and pass an OPM fingerprint criminal background check.
  • Willingness to work the hybrid onsite schedule in Washington, DC (~10 days/month).
