Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Network Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Network Engineer will design, implement, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and related technologies
* Provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier III support for network, server, virtualization, and storage environments
* Analyze and resolve complex technical issues through root cause investigation and problem management practices
* Support infrastructure projects from requirements gathering through implementation and documentation
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, design, and deploy infrastructure solutions that align with business and operational needs
* Maintain and optimize virtualized server environments
* Administer Windows and Linux server platforms
* As a Network Engineer, you will support enterprise storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
* Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures
* Participate in infrastructure planning, system upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives
* Contribute to security, availability, and performance improvements across the enterprise environment

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
* Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routing and switching
* Experience administering enterprise firewall solutions
* Proven experience with VMware or comparable virtualization platforms
* Experience supporting Linux server environments
* Experience with enterprise storage platforms and SAN technologies
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration
* Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
* Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
