Job Description:
Market Risk Production Support Engineer

Location: Chicago, Illinois (Onsite)

Alternate Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

Role Overview

This position is for a production support role within the Market Risk domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and resolving business queries, handling feed and batch support items, and overseeing incident management. This role involves utilizing various framework tools for updates and reporting, coordinating with development teams for resolutions, and identifying opportunities for automation to improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve business queries for the Market Risk space, managing the user query mailbox effectively.
  • Address and resolve feed and batch support items, including managing system alerts and monitoring.
  • Utilize framework tools such as ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace, and Splunk for updates and reporting.
  • Manage incidents by providing timely user notifications and handling escalations as needed.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge management for the team.
  • Coordinate with various development teams to follow up on and resolve issues.
  • Assist with the creation and delivery of metrics reporting.
  • Coordinate and perform Business Continuity testing and complete related documentation.
  • Organize and lead meetings independently to drive issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual and repetitive tasks.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years of Production Support experience.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX / LINUX, including shell scripting.
  • Working knowledge of Autosys and Bob jobs.
  • Working knowledge of ITRS, DynaTrace, and Splunk.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Working knowledge of ITIL framework.
  • Python scripting knowledge.


Professional Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-regional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of Market Risk.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Operations exposure with Windows OS.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau.
