Senior Software Developer Oracle CPQ & Enterprise Integration Specialist Start Date: Mid-July 2026
Duration: Contract (Project-based engagement with extension potential)
Location: Remote / Onsite Flexibility (Onshore resource required, must support 9:00 AM 5:00 PM EST)
Type: Contract / Consultant
Overview Mako's client is seeking an experienced Software Developer / Integration Specialist to support a strategic enterprise transformation initiative centered around the migration from a legacy internally developed quoting platform to Oracle CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote).
This consultant will play a critical role in designing and developing integrations that connect Oracle CPQ with several internal business applications, most notably a proprietary Ship & Debit application responsible for validating pricing agreements, claims processing, and downstream transaction workflows.
The engagement will focus on replacing legacy integrations, modernizing data flow architecture, and ensuring seamless communication between Oracle CPQ and multiple homegrown enterprise applications that support quoting, shipping, pricing validation, and internal operational processes.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on development experience in VB.NET or C#, enterprise systems integration expertise, and a proven background building API-driven integrations between large-scale business systems and backend databases.
Project Scope The organization is currently transitioning away from a legacy internally built quoting application and implementing Oracle CPQ as its new enterprise quoting platform. Several internal systems currently rely on data generated by the legacy application, requiring new integrations to be built so those dependent systems can continue functioning without business disruption.
A major component of this project involves building integrations that extract quote data directly from Oracle CPQ and transmit that information to internal applications responsible for validating customer pricing agreements, processing ship-and-debit claims, and supporting other operational workflows tied to quoting and order management.
The consultant will help modernize these integrations while maintaining compatibility with existing internal systems and preserving critical downstream business processes.
Key Responsibilities - Analyze current integration architecture connecting the legacy quoting platform with internal enterprise applications
- Design, develop, and implement new integrations that retrieve quote data directly from Oracle CPQ using available APIs and web services
- Build integration workflows that transmit quote information from Oracle CPQ into the internal Ship & Debit application for pricing validation and claims processing
- Ensure data compatibility with existing validation logic related to product quantities, pricing structures, quoted items, and claim reconciliation processes
- Modify and adapt existing VB.NET-based codebases currently integrated with the legacy quoting system so they can consume Oracle CPQ data instead
- Develop integrations that make Oracle CPQ data available to additional internally developed business applications across the organization
- Leverage existing internal interfaces and file generation processes to create properly formatted data files consumed by downstream systems
- Work extensively with backend Oracle databases, including querying, data validation, and maintaining consistency across multiple integrated systems
- Collaborate with internal business and technical teams to understand complex quoting, shipping, pricing, and claims-related business processes
- Participate in end-to-end testing, debugging, deployment, and post-deployment support for newly developed integrations
Required Experience - 5+ years of software development experience with strong focus on enterprise application integration and backend development
- Advanced experience developing applications within Microsoft Visual Studio
- Strong programming experience with VB.NET (highly preferred due to existing codebase) or C#/.NET development
- Proven experience building integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, web services, and external enterprise system integrations
- Strong hands-on experience working with Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL development
- Experience designing and implementing data transformation and integration workflows across multiple enterprise systems
- Strong understanding of data consistency, validation logic, and maintaining integrity between connected applications
- Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand complex business processes and translate functional requirements into technical integration solutions
- Comfortable working independently while managing deliverables within aggressive implementation timelines
Preferred / Nice to Have Experience - Direct hands-on experience integrating with Oracle CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) environments
- Experience supporting Oracle ERP ecosystems or other Oracle enterprise applications
- Familiarity with quoting systems, order management workflows, pricing validation, rebate processing, or claims management processes
- Prior experience integrating legacy internally developed applications with modern cloud-based enterprise platforms
- Exposure to enterprise sales operations or pricing-related business workflows
Ideal Candidate Background This role is best suited for a highly technical integration-focused software developer who has experience modernizing legacy enterprise systems and building reliable integrations between internally developed applications and modern cloud platforms.
Candidates with backgrounds in Oracle ecosystems, enterprise application development, backend integrations, quoting/order management systems, or API-driven system modernization projects will be particularly well aligned.
The client is looking for someone capable of quickly understanding both technical architecture and underlying business workflows while delivering scalable integration solutions that ensure uninterrupted business operations during a critical enterprise platform migration.
