Duration: 5+ Month Contract with potential extension
Our client is a Logistics organization. They are looking to hire a Sr. Accountant on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to support corporate financial and accounting functions across the Americas region. The role offers exposure to financial reporting, month-end close activities, intercompany accounting, lease accounting, audit support, and large-scale ERP environments. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work cross-functionally with finance, payroll, AP/AR, and IT teams, and play a key role in the organization's transition from SAP to Oracle Fusion. This position provides the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, system transformation initiatives, and special projects while maintaining a high level of ownership and visibility within the accounting function.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years of experience performing similar accounting duties
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
High attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy in execution
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience in financial analysis
Knowledge of large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
Experience supporting ERP system transitions
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
SAP and/or
Oracle Fusion
Microsoft Excel
Daily Responsibilities Compile and support regional financial statement preparation and analysis
Create intercompany transactions, including loans and invoicing
Calculate roll forwards and perform reconciliation of related-party and external intercompany transactions
Manage IFRS 16 lease accounting activities
Reconcile payroll tax and net pay accruals with bank transactions
Prepare and post journal entries in SAP
Develop and maintain fixed asset schedules and supporting documentation
Facilitate the month-end accounting close process
Review, identify, and correct inaccuracies in financial records
Complete monthly account reconciliations and resolve variances
Participate in the transition from SAP to Oracle Fusion
Support external audit requests and provide required documentation
Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned
