Job Title: Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Plattsburgh, NY

Introduction

The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting production activities in the rail industry. This individual will utilize their expertise in electrical engineering and manufacturing processes to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support by creating work instructions, MODs, CRs, and QNs
• Design and manufacture harnesses using electrical methods engineering
• Utilize Catia V5, 3D-COM, ENOVIA, PDM, SAP VSM, and SAP GSI for project work
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
• Ensure compliance with quality, EHS standards, and ergonomic practices

Requirements

Required Skills

• Associate Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or related field
• Experience in the rail industry for at least 5 years
• Hands-on experience with Catia V5, 3D-COM, ENOVIA, PDM, SAP VSM, and SAP GSI
• Knowledge of production support processes such as work instructions, MODs, CRs, and QNs
• Experience with harness design or manufacturing

Preferred Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the railway industry
• Technical experience in process engineering and writing manufacturing work instructions
• Experience working with an ERP system, such as SAP, for Bill of Materials and Routings
• Working knowledge of quality, EHS standards, and ergonomics
