Quality Engineer - Manufacturing (Direct Hire)


Location: Norton, MA


Salary: $85,000 - $105,000

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing organization supporting ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, data-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is comfortable working independently while collaborating across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality inspection documentation, supporting QA/QC lab operations, and ensuring compliance with internal and customer quality standards. This position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, improving product quality, and supporting new product introduction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Create First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), PPAPs, and inspection plans (incoming, in-process, and final)

  • Program and operate advanced inspection equipment including vision and measurement systems

  • Oversee QA/QC lab workflow, inspection priorities, and training of inspectors

  • Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, and FMEA

  • Manage MRB and RMA processes, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues

  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns and drive improvements

  • Utilize statistical tools and ERP systems to analyze and report quality data

  • Support audits, product testing, and continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field

  • 5+ years of quality engineering experience in ISO 9001 manufacturing

  • Strong understanding of quality systems, GD&T, and inspection methodologies

  • Experience with ERP systems and MS Office

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • AS9100 and Six Sigma certifications a plus

  • U.S. Citizenship required
