However, all applications will be considered.We are searching for the best talent for Business Excellence EngineerJob SummaryUnder the direction of the Senior Business Excellence Manager, the Business Excellence Engineer supports and leads Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. This role applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to analyze processes, support productivity improvements, and drive standardized work across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Support and oversee Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including workplace organization, standardized work, and waste elimination.
- Apply Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, JJOS) to improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Perform capacity, cycle time, and productivity analyses to support base business performance and improvement opportunities.
- Support data analysis and reporting of key performance indicators to track operational performance against targets.
- Participate in cross-functional improvement teams and contribute to problem-solving and decision-making activities.
- Facilitate process mapping and analysis to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities.
- Support development and maintenance of production performance dashboards.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and improvement opportunities to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, quality, safety, and environmental requirements (GMP, ISO, FDA, internal policies).
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of operational excellence objectives.
Required Education- Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline preferred).
Required Experience- 2-4 years of overall professional experience.
- Experience or exposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
- Manufacturing or regulated industry experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
- Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable improvement opportunities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills within team environments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with standard business and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, data visualization tools; Minitab preferred).
Certifications (Preferred)- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (preferred).
Work Environment & Location- Manufacturing environment.
- Position located in Cornelia, GA and/or Athens, GA.
- Up to 10% travel may be required (domestic and/or international).
Reporting Relationship- Reports to the Business Excellence Manager or Senior Business Excellence Manager.
