Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create / review I&C designs and drawings, including block diagrams, fiber loop diagrams, and other deliverables.
  • Perform technical review of I&C and SCADA design documentation from third party vendors including, but not limited to, SCADA integrators, substation vendors, and tracker and inverter suppliers.
  • Specify components to meet project requirements and work with vendors and clients to develop solutions.
  • Review and prepare bills of materials for I&C system equipment.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines to develop, document, and execute control solutions.
  • Support commissioning of I&C systems, and interface with Strata field personnel to ensure project requirements are satisfied expeditiously.
  • Develop data collection and interface (including protocol) solutions for reporting equipment.
  • Program and develop solutions for Strata's repower projects to replace obsolete field equipment.
  • Provide technical / commercial input for proposals to support Strata business development, and review proposals and bid documentation from SCADA vendors.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, from an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum 2 -3 years relevant work experience.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD (desired), and MS Office.
  • Comfortable interacting with third parties including clients, consultants, and vendors.
  • Experience with renewable energy (PV or BESS) projects desired but not necessary.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment and in the field. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 20 pounds.
