Job Title: SAP Security Engineer

Location: Remote (Travel Required)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior SAP Security Engineer with strong experience in SAP authorization, role-based access design, and compliance frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting regulated or federal environments and implementing strong security governance within SAP landscapes.

This role is primarily remote, but travel may be required during security assessments, audits, and system validation phases.

- Role design
- Documentation
- Access monitoring

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement SAP role-based security architecture
Configure SAP authorization objects and roles
Implement Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls
Integrate SAP with Identity Management systems (AD, SSO, MFA)
Conduct access risk assessments and remediation
Support audit documentation and compliance reporting
Monitor authorization issues and enforce least-privilege access
Ensure alignment with NIST, FISMA, and DOE cybersecurity standards

Required Qualifications

12+ years of IT experience
5+ years of SAP Security Administration
Strong expertise in SAP Authorization Objects and Role Design
Experience working in regulated or federal environments
Knowledge of NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks
Ability to travel for on-site compliance and audit support

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP GRC Access Control
DOE (Department of Energy) security compliance experience
Experience integrating SAP with Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools
